There is not much to write of. I have spoken with my colleges and there have been no breakthroughs nor changes. We are running out of time. Others in my group are showing signs of fatigue. I fear the answer will not come soon enough.

09:51 pm I am pleased that my students appear to have learned proper behavior in class. I hope there will be no further incidents of such infantile conduct in my presence.
The weather is most delightful this time of year, perfect for long walks to ponder the most important of life's mysteries and to enjoy a cooled cup of spiced tea.

08:10 am I fail to be amused. I will be asking two of you to leave my class immediately. The "practical joke" you thought to execute upon my return was far from appreciated or enjoyed. No, I'm sad to inform you I truly do not have a sense of humor. Certainly not when precious specimens are being wasted by releasing them into my desk drawers. This is a college science course, not preschool.

05:04 pm Autumn. With it brings the promise of winter and it's delightful displays of frost against closed windows. I am feeling more at ease as this time approaches, perhaps I would dare to use the words "more alive".
I thank whomever substituted for me whilst I was away meeting with my fellow scientists to discuss our research. Now that I have returned, I will be reviewing each student's performance. I do hope all of you are above par, my expectations are set quite high.

A strange quandry. I despise social events yet this benifits a cause I can support. Perhaps I will just send a small donation in my stead.

Disappointing. Seven of you continue to arrive unprepared with even the most basic of supplies. Might I remind you that I am not a stationary outlet? The next student who asks for a piece of paper or writing impliment will find themselves automatically failed, do I make myself perfectly clear? If you've no respect for the sciences and are just taking my course for "credits", feel free to dismiss yourself now. I have not the time for small minds who only care about "passing" and not for the gift of knowledge I am taking the time to impart upon them. Idiots.
The rest of you are fairing slightly better. There will be an essay due for my Friday class. I expect all passing grades.

I've recovered the majority of the serum that was destroyed during that unfortunate earthquake. It appears if I spend the next week working tirelessly, I shall return to the point I had arrived at before being so unfairly set backwards. Excellent.

01:48 am My test tubes! I was almost finished! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! MY PRECIOUS RESEARCH IS RUINED!

I've missed much due to my seclusion, however the progress made is undeniable. I do hope this will perhaps earn a second chance to be part of the upcoming experiment. I would be furious greatly disappointed if I were to be omitted.
I believe I shall venture into town for supplies when the sun rises.

Bah. Negotiations were worthless. It appears I am forced to deal with this unfortunate turn of events. So be it. I still have my research.

No! This is an absolute outrage! How could he have chosen HIM?? I am far more experienced and capable. Why would such an injustice be inflicted upon me? Have I not done as I was told?
Bah! I will be in the lab if any one needs me. Clearly my superior back home has lost his mind.

The heat is an annoyance. I do not believe I will be going outside of my quad until it has cooled considerably. I am thankful for the air system that keeps my quarters at a comfortable temperature despite the stifling humidity.
Now then, what requires tending to? I believe I shall have some books from the library sent over. Particularly those regarding mythology..

I have much to report upon regarding my research and findings since arriving upon this fine campus. Perhaps I will begin my summer classes a tad late so that I may have time to record these things properly and in order. My own research has been sorely neglected as well. I cannot forget the importance of my projects, too much depends on my success.
Lucrecia, it was good to see you at the ball. Perhaps you and your husband would like to sit down for tea at some future point?

I suppose if Lucrecia deems the social event this evening important enough to attend that I can make a rare exception...

Finals, ah what a wonderful opportunity to prove you have indeed learned from the classes I have instructed. I expect no less than perfection from my students, you will find yourself rewarded with knowledge that will last for the rest of your mortal lives. Much luck to you and do remember to study. I will most certainly not go 'easy' on any of you.
